Quarantine creations - seeing the opportunity in the midst of chaos

At the moment of writing this (March 2020), we’re in the middle of a pandemic. A new type of Coronavirus is running around the world, locking down countries and leaving people in fear.

We might be locked at home in quarantine, but we have an incredible opportunity to dedicate some time to an array of different things.

I myself, have been at home for almost 2 weeks, and starting from day one, I knew I couldn't be stuck at home all this time, and just watch Netflix or do meaningless things.

In my opinion, it comes down to seeing the opportunity in the midst of chaos. Taking something positive out of a negative situation.

I have finally learned how to use GatsbyJS, and Netlify CMS, and how to connect them together.

Started to make my feet wet on After Effects, just to have the basic knowledge.

Finished a major step on a client project, and on my way to finish it completely.

Finished reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People", by Dale Carnegie, and started reading "Essentialism" by Greg McKeown.

And I've even started the process of remodeling my room, painting my two closets, and painted a little side table lamp I had laying around.

And I'll make sure to do a lot more during this time.

Yes, it is tough. But what can we do about it? Dwell on it, and get sad and anxious?

We need to move, to do things, to think, read and create stuff – for ourselves and for other people.

I'll be sharing what I have been doing in this Twitter thread, feel free to join and leave your thoughts!
